I drove from just outside of Chicago until we reached Madison. We had to park fairly far away. I'm currently sitting with my pants off on the Love Seat in Pete and Katie's apartment. A little later we're going to get ice cream at the Student Union and going to walk down State Street. After we get back I'll post all the pictures I have so far. Tom's internet connection was blowing nuts, and I was getting 3KB/s while uploading there.
After fairly heavy traffic from the Illinois border to our exit in Chicago, we arrived at Tom's apartment. Warren and Tom were still at the movies, so we wandered around until they called us back. We met them at a random street corner, walked back to the car, and carried our stuff up to Tom's apartment.
We hung out for a little while, I called HP about my fucking power supply, and then we took the subway to this Mexican place that Tom says people say has "the best burritos in Chicago." I ordered the "Ultimate Burrito" for $10, which had the claim that if I could finish it, my drink was free. I think they assume you'll finish it though, since they didn't charge me for my drink. I ended up not finishing it due wanting to be able to walk around comfortably and not enjoying it any more (it got kind of boring).
It was raining after that, so we walked down some random street to an actual elevated El stop, and then went back to Tom's apartment, where we hung out, watched TV, and ate cookies.
Tom work up around 8 to go to class. Everyone else woke up around 9. We showered, had sex, and then walked to CompUSA. We're now back at the apartment, probably doing nothing until Tom gets back from class at 2.
Just before the Indiana border, Sean started randomly bleeding from his nose (most likely due to his lack of wisdom teeth). Just when he got it under control, he sneezed bloody snot and had to clean himself up again (with the one napkin). We stopped at Dairy Queen to get him ice cream and napkins. Luckily, I was driving when this happened.
We drove from Foseco straight to Oberlin, where we parked and watched the championship game of the regional ultimate tournament between Illinois and OSU. It was apparently some pretty good ultimate, and even I wasn't too bored. About 1.5 hours later, we left for Chicago.
After a 4-mile round trip walk to CompUSA, I found a universal power supply that seems to be working. HP is shipping me a replacement, but apparently they can't ship it faster than UPS Ground (from California), so I just sent it home.
Due to a dead laptop power supply, updates will be delayed until I (hopefully) find a new one.
