South Dakota
After driving across the rest of Wisconsin, 350 boring-ass miles of Minnesota, and all but 50 miles of South Dakota, we arrived in Rapid City. As usual, it was raining, We ate at this place called the Millstone Family Restaurant or something similar, which may or may not be a chain. Afterwards, we played Mini-Golf at Pirates' Cove, which was located next to the restaurant. I beat Sean by 3 strokes and Warren by 8.
After much driving around on random ass roads in Black Hills National Forest, we finally found a place to camp dispersedly. Due to a combination of desire for packing less stuff and stupidity, I didn't bring a sleeping bag (only an air mattress, sheet, and comforter). This doesn't work out to well when you sleep in a tent at an elevation of over 5,000 feet in the spring. The temperature was slightly below freezing, and we all froze our balls off. We went to bed around 8:30, since it was getting dark and we had nothing else to do.
Sean and I woke up around 1:30 because he left his ibuprofen in the car and his teeth hurt, and I had to piss. We wandered over to the car and took care of our needs. It got relatively light at 5:30am, and since everyone was quite cold, we packed up the tent, headed back to Rapid City, and ate breakfast at a Denny's.
After an extended breakfast, which included toothbrushing and Sean using Listerine and putting new gauze in his mouth (as he does every fucking two hours or so), we headed to Mount Rushmore.
Mount Rushmore was sweet in the "I already knew what this looks like but it's cool to see it in person" way. We spent about an hour there and took an assload of pictures, and then heading to the Crazy Horse Memorial. This was more interesting, since I knew nothing about it. It should be pretty sweet when they finish it.
After spending around 1.5 hours there, we left for Becky's parents' house around 11:30. We took this relatively curvy road from Crazy Horse up to I-90, which contained a dirt-road detour of about 15 miles. After going on I-90 a few miles, we got off at US-85, and then US-212, a two-lane road that we took almost all the way to Billings.

you know, if sean still has super bad breath and bleeding gums he should see a doctor for antibiotics before he gets gangrene and his mouth falls off.
